HERESY

Heresy (2001) is a three-hander, intended for the stage, but so far only produced as a radio play. It tells the tragic story of the beautiful and brilliant Greek philosopher Hypatia, loved by Orestes, the Roman prefect of Alexandria, but torn apart by a mob of fanatical Christian monks in AD 415. The third character is the man who stirred them up: St Cyril, Archbishop of Alexandria.
